Dhwani Malhotra - Project Lead

My journey began in Delhi, India, shaped by both my lived experience and early work in marginalised communities. I have worked across education, criminal justice, and mental health spaces before moving to the UK to complete my MPhil in Criminology at the University of Cambridge.

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—from conducting prison research to co-founding a youth mental health initiative in India.

Joining Unlock My Life has been incredibly meaningful—a space where I can bring together my professional, personal, and creative skills to support others in reclaiming the freedom and agency to think, act, and rebuild their lives in ways that feel true to them.

3 facts about me:

  1. I recently discovered hiking and have completely fallen in love with it, it’s become my favourite way to slow down and reconnect with nature.

  2. I’m a night sky enthusiast—always up for hearing your favourite astronomical stories.

  3. I adore milk chocolate, but when it comes to desserts, I’m firmly team vanilla, strawberry… and occasionally mango. (I have a terrible sweet tooth!)
