D - Project Support
Hello guys, my name is D, and it's a pleasure for me to introduce you to who I am. I am currently serving a life sentence for murder and have been in custody since 2008.
I have been granted a great opportunity to come on board with the My Life family as project support. I have proactively progressed through the prison system and am now concluding my sentence in a D Cat prison. This affords me the privilege of coming out of the establishment to undertake work opportunities.
So, a bit about my history and how I found myself here. As a child of the 80s, I had a tough upbringing, and because of this, I cultivated an attitude that attempted to ensure I would no longer be a victim at the hands of other people. This led to me creating a reputation that I felt I had to maintain and culminated in my current offence. I decided early in my sentence that I was going to turn my life around and embarked on a journey of redevelopment. I gained numerous qualifications ranging from counselling to teaching. I fully equipped myself with the tools I felt were needed to see who I was and develop the person I wanted to be.
So now that I am more than happy with the reflection in the mirror, I want to dedicate my life to enabling others who have shared experiences to know that if they choose to, they can make positive change too. Sometimes, we only see what we have always seen. Everyone is capable of change, and if I can be a quantum of that effort, then here I am. Watch this space, I intend on leaving my mark!
3 facts about me:
I don't have a skin care routine (just old-fashioned soap and water people).
I am an amazing cook.
I was once known as the AB Roller king.
