Laura Fisher - Fundraising Co-Ordinator

I began my career in TV production, gaining over eight years of experience across a diverse range of genres, including Sport, Entertainment, Arts, and Current Affairs, at independent production companies, Sky Studios, and BBC Studios.

After stepping away from the freelance TV lifestyle, I transitioned into corporate roles before co-founding an e-commerce business in 2020, creating and selling personalised dog accessory gift boxes.

Like many others, I had to navigate the challenges of balancing career demands and major life changes while prioritising my mental health. Through my own experiences, I came to understand how difficult it could be to manage stress and how easy it was to feel overwhelmed. However, learning about mental health and gaining more insight on how the brain works has been a source of comfort for me.

That’s why I’m truly honoured to be part of a project that not only provides rehabilitation through mental health programs but also equips individuals with essential skills, raises awareness, and restores hope. Unlock My Life is an incredible and much-needed charity, and I can’t wait to share my passion with others.

3 facts about me:

  1. I once worked in a pea factory.

  2. I enjoy camping, dog walks and paddle boarding.

  3. I love crisps.
